Hidrock Properties signed two leases totaling 7,060 s/f at 53 West 36th Street and 35 West 36th Street near Herald Square. The leases bring Hidrock’s portfolio of office properties to 98 percent occupied. Robert Kaplan, Hidrock’s Managing Director of Operations, represented the landlord in both transactions. Asking price for both spaces was approximately $45 psf.

I am re-reading “An Architectural Guidebook to Brooklyn” by Francis Morrone and James Iska. Having grown up in Brooklyn, it’s both comforting and instructive to see the various styles of architecture come to life on the book’s pages. Each time I pick it up, I’m enlightened by the discovery of another fine architectural gem and historical knowledge about the borough of Brooklyn.

The Cambria Hotel & Suites Times Square, developed by Hidrock Properties and Concord Hospitality Enterprises, is officially open for business. The new hotel, which consists of a 21-story tower with 196 guest rooms, is located at 30 West 46th Street, just minutes from Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Herald Square and Grand Central Station.
